Today marks one month since the launch of the petition to protect the Waters of Philorth Nature Reserve and, in that time, an incredible 577 people have already added their support.

The campaign, launched by Julie, Ken and Will Ramsay, was created to oppose plans by Ground Golf to develop a new golf course at Mains of Cairnbulg, with parts of the proposal extending into the nature reserve.

The response over the past month has shown just how much this landscape means to people. Hundreds of local residents, visitors and supporters have signed the petition to stand up for the future of the Waters of Philorth and help ensure concerns about the development cannot be ignored.

Every signature sends a clear message that this place matters. The reserve is more than just open land. It is a valued community space, an important wildlife habitat and part of the natural coastal environment that people want to see protected for future generations.

The support so far has been hugely encouraging, but there is still more to do. The campaign is continuing to grow and everyone can help by sharing the petition, following the campaign on social media, speaking to friends and family, and encouraging others to get involved.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign during its first month. Whether you have signed, shared a post, spoken to neighbours or helped spread the word, every action has helped build momentum and raise awareness of what is at stake.
